1) Tranfer TV shows from TiVo to PC
Before burning TiVo movies to DVD, you need to first transfer TiVo movies to your PC. To transfer TiVo movies on your PC, you need to download TiVo Desktop software. When your TiVo is connected to your home network, TiVo Desktop provides you with a list of available shows for transferring to your PC.



You can play TiVo video files using Windows Media Player.

Hints: TiVoToGo Transfers system requirements: TiVo Series2 DVR, TiVo software version 7.1 or later, TiVo Series2 box must be connected to your home network using a wired or wireless USB network adapter.

2) Convert TiVo to MPEG

DirectShow Dump is a free utility to extract the content of .TiVo files as unprotected MPEGs.
1. Download DirectShow Dump. site1 site2

2. Install and run, Click "Add Files" and load the TiVo files you'd like to convert.

Hints: If you can not convert Tivo to MPEG successfully, please download the Microsoft .NET 1.1 architecture since maybe the conversion from TIVO to MPEG is dependent on it.

3) Convert MPEG to DVD

1. Download AVI/MPEG to DVD/VCD Converter software and launch.

2. Since We want to convert and burn MPEG to DVD, so choose 'To DVD'.

Now you have to select between "Merge" and "Batch" tabs. The former will join all the video files you add to one DVD file (including VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS, etc.). The latter will encode each video file to a different DVD (so that you burn it in more DVDs).

Click "Add" to add video files. Besides MPEG, You can also add AVI, WMV, MOV, etc. files.

(Optional) Set "Output quality", "NTSC or PAL", etc.


3. Click "Convert and Burn" button to start converting MPEG to DVD's files.

4. "CD/DVD Burning engine" will be launched automatically after video conversion done. If you'd like to burn DVD with another DVD burning software such as Nero, please click "Cancel" and burn the files in "DVD_Disk1" folder to DVD later.
